Principles of Design

 

In these first 3 photographs, the principle of design that is being utilized is emphasis. Emphasis is being used by blurring the background to focus on the subject. The subject of the image also contrasts the background so it stands out even more and draws attention towards it. 

In these last 3 images, the principle of design being utilized is the principle of pattens. Pattern is the repeating of shapes or lines across an image. The repetition of the pattern creates unity in the image.
